Rick Dicapo

Executive Director

Rick has worked in the healthcare field his entire career, starting as an Intensive Care/Surgical Technician at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. He then attended LSU as a physiology major, graduated from nursing school at Charity Hospital in New Orleans and later completed a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s degree in business administration. This strong curriculum in both clinical and managerial coursework, combined with progressive levels of clinical and administrative responsibilities at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital from 1977 to 1989, prepared Rick for his successful, 40-year career in health services. In later years, Rick has worked throughout the United States, serving as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer or Chief Nursing Officer.

Rick was born in Opelousas and grew up in Brusly, Louisiana. His wife of 45 years, Bonnie, is also a native Louisianan and their son resides and works in Baton Rouge. Rick and Bonnie are happy to be returning home to southern Louisiana and will be residing in Gonzales.

Rick is excited about joining the Francois Bend family and stated, “Francois Bend is the perfect place for me at this time in my career; I can enjoy spending quality time with residents and their families and with staff to help make their experience a good one. That is where I get my strength in life.”


Amanda Williams

Director of Marketing & Community Relations

Mrs. Williams has over ten years of experience in senior living placement that helps individuals achieve their best options for aging gracefully. Mrs. Williams is a graduate of Southeastern State University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. As Francois Bend’s Director of Marketing and Community Relations, Mrs. Williams assists individuals and their families throughout the process of finding the right residents. She will also develops relationships and implements marketing and sales strategies that will connect more people and families to the services and care available at Francois Bend. “I have a passion for helping others and truly feel everyone deserves the right to age with dignity and respect. I love my work at Francois Bend and look forward to assisting families and individuals in our community,” says Mrs. Williams.


Julie Landreneau

Life Enrichment Director

Julie Landreneau has over 25 years of experience in education and program development. Julie is a graduate of University of Lafayette with degrees in Physical Education and Agriculture Business. She was the creator & director of St. Theresa’s Summer Camp here in Gonzales. She also, ventured off to the Island of St. Croix USVI to become the Director of the boys and girls camp. She is an energetic and inspirational leader with a passion for encouraging all to live a life of significance. She does an amazing job assisting in creating a culture that promotes & fosters collaboration and has worked on a focused, intentional activities program that truly assists our residents to thrive rather than simply survive.

Julie has dedicated numerous hours to helping Francois Bend choose exercise equipment and exercises that are focused on developing strength and reducing the risk of falls for seniors.


Nichole Chauvin

Director of Nursing

Nichole Chauvin started her nursing career 8 years ago and went directly into geriatric care. She began as a floor nurse and within a month was promoted as charge nurse. With her hard work and dedication, she became an assistant director of nursing and has held several different management positions including skilled care, behavioral management and staffing.Nichole is a lifelong resident of St. James Parish. She has been married for 19 years and has three children. Family time is her favorite time. Recently, Nichole has been accepted into the registered nursing program at Delgado Charity School of Nursing. She is excited to hold the position as Director of Nursing at Francois Bend. Nichole became a nurse because she truly enjoys having a positive impact on people’s lives. She has always been a caretaker and strives for every resident to receive the best care they deserve. She enjoys being a part of the Francois Bend family and the opportunity to provide life as it should be!


Katie Boudreaux

Human Resources Director

Katie Boudreaux is a native of Gonzales, Louisiana and joined the Francois Bend team in August of 2018. Katie is the Human Resources Director and has experience in customer service and childcare. Her previous experience has proven to be a platform for her role at Francois Bend, as it has illuminated the importance and delicate nature of interpersonal relationships and having compassion for others. Nurturing those relationships and helping others is truly Katie’s passion and she enjoys each day that she can be of assistance to Francois Bend's team members, residents, and residents’ family members. Katie whole-heartedly believes in the philosophy of Francois Bend and is honored to be a part of making our community “feel like home” to each resident and their families.



Gavin Schwing

Director of Food Service

Gavin Schwing has been in the food service industry for the past 42 years. He grew up in Covington and attended St. Paul's High School. He achieved his bachelor's degree from Southeastern Louisiana University. Gavin has been married to his wife, Lisa for married for 26 years and they have 2 sons and a daughter.

Prior to joining Francois Bend, Gavin was a managing partner in his family's business, Schwing's Seafood Restaurant for over 25 years. He is currently a partner in his wife's family restaurant, the Fat Spoon Café. For the past 8 years he has been Director of Food Services at the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Department Jail Kitchen where he directly oversaw the preparation and served over 3,600 meals per day. Gavin is ecstatic about his position at Francois Bend and is looking forward to preparing quality meals with the freshest, local ingredients!
